Tubular diffuser

Tuboflex® silicone/EPDM tubular diffuser

Silicone/EPDM tubular diffusers for wastewater aeration.

Tuboflex® — Geotierre silicone/EPDM tubular diffuser

Tuboflex® tubular diffuser

Geotierre manufactures tubular diffusers with ¾-inch connections, either screwed onto a nipple (TBA series) or secured using tie rods (TBX series).

Standard tube lengths are 500 and 750 mm, while other lengths are available on request. The raw materials used to manufacture our diffusers are supplied by major European groups and ensure long-term reliability. Membranes are available with different perforations for fine, medium or coarse bubbles to meet a variety of requirements.

  • Fine bubbles
  • Medium bubbles
  • Coarse bubbles
The diffuser consists of two parts
01
Tubular core
PP / PE
02
Micro-perforated membrane
Silicone or EPDM
Main features
  1. 01

The membrane is secured to the core with stainless-steel hose clamps. Perforation is carried out without removing material: during operation, air inflates the membrane, opening the micro-perforations and releasing microbubbles. When airflow stops, the membrane deflates and closes the holes, preventing clogging.

  2. 02

In the TBA version, a 3/4-inch female connection is attached directly to the PE tubular core for screwing onto a nipple. In the TBX version, the diffuser is secured to the manifold using tie rods.

  3. 03

Main applications include wastewater pre-aeration and aeration, as well as aerobic sludge digestion.

  4. 04

O₂ transfer efficiency increases with the effective depth.
